Characteristics:

Recommended Vivarium Size: At least 10 gallons per frog
 
Temperature: Range of 65 F to 80 F, but prefer temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Temperatures over 85 F are dangerous.
 
Humidity: Range of 70 – 100%, but can tolerate humidity down to 50% for short periods of time if the frogs have access to water. Low humidity levels, especially without access to water, can quickly be fatal.
 
Size: Adult female Ankas are larger, measuring approximately 1 inche at maturity. Male Ankas are a bit smaller. 
 
Life-Span: Epipedobates Anthonyi Ankas are capable of living between 5 - 10 years years in captivity under ideal conditions.
 
Feeding: Epipedobates Anthonyi Ankas eat Drosphilia Hydei or Drosphilia Melanogaster fruit flies.  Ankas will also eat pinhead crickets, springtails and dwarf white or dwarf purple isopods.  All feeder insects should be dusted with supplements.
 
Sexing: Epipedobates Anthonyi Ankas are not sexable until 10-12 months of age. Male Ankas tend to be smaller than females, which often appear both longer and wider. Finn's Frog Farms sells unsexed juvenile frogs, least three months out of the water.  
 
Color/Pattern: Epipedobates Anthonyi Ankas are a chocolate brown with baby blue to electric blue stripes running along their sides, nose, and legs.
 
Social Behavior: These frogs do well housed in groups their entire life span, as long as enough space is provided. They tend to like being evenly matched with male and female frogs.  Finn's Frog Farm strongly recommends against housing different species/morphs of dart frogs. 
 
Breeding: Capurgana are very simple and easy to breed. Generally, eggs are deposited on a smooth broad leaf, or on a petri dish under a cocohut. The eggs hatch into tadpoles, which then take 60-90 days to complete metamorphosis into miniature versions of the adults.
